PCC diary dates

Standing Committee: Monday 2nd June at the Rectory, 8pm.

Next PCC meeting: 16th June at 8pm in the Lodge

PCC away day at Ascot Priory 19th July. The PCC will be having an away day in July to reflect on our church mission plan and really begin to put down a vision as to how we might Proclaim Christ in Clewer. Your prayers would be very much appreciated.

We will be having a series of ‘working’ days over the next few months. These will include general tidy up within the church and the churchyard, and time to collate information about the building that we will be able to use in a new ‘Guide’ book. Dates will be published on the website and via pews news. Please keep a look out and join us.

Gifts & Talents
Managing and maintaining a place of worship takes time and effort, people and prayer. We all have different gifts and talents and we would like to find out more about those in each other and how we might share the many roles and responsibilities of our parish.

Please could you pray about your discipleship and how best you might serve God at St Andrew’s? For example: Sidesperson, helping with refreshments, being available to help open the church to the public, gardening cleaning, baptism team, ministry team including helping to plan family services, musicians and singers, readers and chalice assistants. The more there are of us, the more we can share and have fun in the service of God!

Story Bags – Are there any ‘sewers’ among you who could help with the making of story bags? These are to support and nurture children’s’ spirituality as well as keep them occupied during their visit with us. Please talk to Revd Rosie if you can help.

Flower arranging workshop – are you interested in helping with the flowers in church but feel you need some training, or would just like to learn anyway? Revd Rosie would like to have expressions of interest. The workshop will be planned for a Saturday morning and be run by an experienced flower arranger. Being creative together!

Wednesday Morning Coffee Corner – can anyone please lend Revd Rosie a hand on these days?

For your diaries

Marie Curie Tea Party – Thursday 17th June, 10.30am, Scout & Guide HQ, Maidenhead Road.
Lilian Allen’s daughters are holding a Marie Curie Tea Party and are inviting anyone who would like to bake a cake, to bring it along. The idea is that you bake the favourite cake of someone you loved and lost. They will then put a flag in it in that person’s memory.

They will also be holding a Mary Berry & Paul Hollywood style bake off, just for fun (shame Paul Hollywood can’t come!!).
Bring mugs and friends – the more the merrier – to make it fun.

21st June – 7.30pm All Saints’ and St Andrews Mens Group. Invite you to a unique evening of fine food and the cultural experience of Cyprus. Open to all ages and families.

Cypriot Evening of fine food and fun.

Cost is £15 per person, there is a cash bar. For further information contact Andrew Giles Tel: 01753 863907 – see flyers for further details
