Women’ World Day of Prayer
Friday 7th March, service is to be held at St Stephens at 7pm. This is an annual Ecumenical event and all are welcome.

Berkshire Flood Recovery Fund
Berkshire Community Foundation has today (Friday) launched ‘The Berkshire Flood Recovery Fund’ in response to the hardship being suffered by communities as a result of the recent extreme weather conditions.

Chris Barrett, chair of trustees of BCF said today (Friday) “The devastation floods have caused in Berkshire, and the practical help we have received from the Armed Forces and today from The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry in Datchet have made headlines around the world but here at BCF we know that the impact will be felt by our communities for months to come and that is why it is so important that we set up a sustainable fund to help people long after the headlines move on.

“We are about local giving and we re calling people and businesses to give their support by contributing to The Berkshire Flood Recovery Fund.

“The Berkshire Flood Recovery Fund will support Berkshire community groups and charities that are helping individuals across the county.”

Berkshire Community Foundation (BCF) will support community groups who in turn support individuals when they are most in need and at their most vulnerable.

BCF is also working in partnership with others to develop longer term support for affected communities, as they recover from the immediate impact of the floods.

Please donate online at www.localgiving.com/berkshirefloodfund. A telephone line will be open in the near future. Cheques can be sent to (and made payable to) Berkshire Community Foundation, 1650 Arlington Business Park, Theale, TH7 4SA

Ash Wednesday 5th March
This marks the beginning of Lent. If you have any Palm Crosses at home, please could you bring them to church next Sunday. These will then be burnt to make the ash for the service. The Service of Ashing will be held at 8pm at St Andrews for both parishes of St Andrews and All Saints. Revd Rosie will preside and Revd Louise will preach.

Lent
This year we will be joining with All Saints for Lent, entitles “Living Lent”. On Wednesdays we will be ‘Loving, Living and Learning’ together. This will include prayers at our respective churches, a service of Holy Communion, coffee time together and then a joint learning time in the evening.
We need your help! One of the things we would like to do is deliver a Lent Prayer Card to every house in the parish! Each week we will focus our prayers on particular roads. We will need Posties please each Sunday to deliver to specific roads. Please let Revd Rosie or the church wardens know if you can help, either with delivery or with the coffee mornings on Wednesdays.
